Subject: Webb Fest Update !!
And now your Webb Fest update - brought to you by your friends at Jim-n-E Productions....

The new scoop that you've been waiting to hear .... It is confirmed that the master of the cinema himself - Steve Mims - will make his 3rd straight appearance at Webb Fest. As we drag him from the confides of his Texas abode where he has spent the last year constantly perfecting his future release of -- "Scattergun". We will be screening his updated, new and improved, "Black and White" version of Scattergun..... which will be the first time shown in this format.

Now if that wasn't cool enough ... there will be an all new Webb Wilder Films DVD on sale - once again - debuting at Webb Fest. This special edition DVD will feature the first two Webb Wilder "Private Eye" movies never before available on DVD (The Saucers Reign and Horror Hayride) as well as several Steve Mims classic short films like the award winning Aunt Hallie - as seen on the Corn Flicks Video from several years back.... it will also include a few more Steve Mims shorts that some of us may have never seen before .... AND .... will include a couple Webb Fest short films shot during the last 2 Webb Fests .... that includes the infamous van trip to Webb Fest where Jimmy's alter ego personality "Les James" took over while driving - turning him into Richard Petty.... funny stuff only available on this DVD.

If you haven't already made your plans or got your tickets to Webb Fest 2008 ... then .... what are you waiting for.... Webb and the boys always put out a little extra at their concert performance so it will be an amazing night of Webb Fan fellowship, movies, door prizes, an autographed guitar give away, and high octane Rock - a - Billy Rock and Roll.... very Swampadelic.

Subject: Finally!
Oh, Yesss! Not only will we get to finally view Scattergun but the thrill of viewing it in our own homes will also be forthcoming! And three cheers for Mr. Mims having finally worked out the rights issues to the first 2 WW flix! That saves me the trouble of digitizing my hallowed, autographed VHS. But will it have the cool extras also on the Corn Flicks tape like the ads for "Doo Dad" and "Rockin' Rollin' Owner Operator Sonny George's Truckdriving School?"

You'll have to buy a copy to find out.... meaning - I don't know ... would be cool though... but I'm betting no. Those were all ads for the cool way to buy music way back in 92 .... long since replaced by the internet. But you never know ... you'll have to buy a copy and watch it to find out these and many other great questions....

Webb Fest 15 days & counting.

That is some great news!!! I have been shoulda', coulda', woulda' about not buying Corn Flicks while it was available. This would be so much more.

We are counting down the days here as well. Sallie is watching out for tropical depressions headin' towards the Carolinas and is interested in the Delta Airlines pending merge with NorthWest. She doesn't want anything messin' with our trip.

Tater & Eric are setting us up for one great party! See ya' soon.

P.S. Emily's birthday is Oct. 16th.

That is great news! Flake surprised me a couple of birthday's ago by having my aging (and loved to the point of death) copy of Corn Flicks digitized and redone by a friend of hers in the video industry. This sounds very good.

Now please tell me there will be a copy available in Macon the following weekend. Nancy?

Really, they're not that great.

Very glad to hear that Corn Flicks is being released on DVD. Tried to show my girlfriend (who I'm dragging to the show) Corn Flicks on friday, only to discover that my VHS Tape (which was a rental I bought) has gotten too worn out.

BTW, what's the photo policy for the show?

Well definitely it will be picture friendly ... we are even considering keeping a couple seats open for folks to come up, take pictures, then head back to their actual seats. Meaning there will be a place to sit and take up close pics - but are to be shared with all those in attendance who want to come up and take a turn using these photo only spots....

As for the DVD - this is a limited edition Steve Mims DVD that includes many special items (most of which are Webb Wilder related) - including all three films that were on the Corn Flicks video - but it isn't a re-issue necessarily of that video. Steve told me last year that he had actually been working on doing a re-cut version of Horror Hayride and really wanted to release it that way.... I can't confirm that there is any difference - at least not at this time .... we'll know soon enough - as Webb Fest is now only 12 days & counting

Webb ROCKS!
Webb ROCKS!
To my anguish, I can't make it to the WW Fest this year, but I hope everyone going will take lots of pictures and have alot of stories to share here on the Webb Site. I know it'll be an excellent evening of music, stories, and reunions. Very glad to know Steven Mims will be there again, and can we, the non-attendees, purchase any of the DVDs by mail order? The Loving Public wants to know!

OK, it's official for me, I cannot make it to Webbfest. I had hoped to make enough money by the time the October came around, but I can see that it is simply not meant to be.

On a strange side note, I never received my tickets anyway.

Would someone be willing to pick me up a copy of this new DVD? If I can't attend, I would at least love a copy of the new DVD. Thanks.

Drats! The date has not been changed to a week later!
I hope everyone has a great time and really enjoys themselves. I hope the band has a wonderful time as well. Excellent idea about the vacant seats for photos.
I'd love to be there to see the B&W SG and the new DVD, see some familiar faces and enjoy the show. If it weren't for that stinkin' cancer...I'd be there ! I'll be thinking about you guys while I'm up the mountain having an awesome time and later enjoying a mighty fine concert in Lima.
