Hey Webb.....Just saw it in the paper and then here...House of Blues, Chicago May 2nd....very very cool!!! However, I hope that this doens't mean that the Fitzgeralds era is over....Please say it isn't! I'm really not ready to pay for parking at $20 and then shell out another 8 bucks for a beer.....Fitzgeralds was the one and only place for a Webb show.......If need be, I'll talk to Jim myself and make sure you return back to Fitzgeralds

Heaven forbid! Fitzgerald's gigs are NOT a thing of the past! We just thought we might try to reach some different folks. We used to play all over the city. If push comes to shove, we'll make Fitzgerald's THE only place in Chicago but, we're just tryin' to reach a few different folks, buy a few more guitar strings, make 3 and a half new fans, etc.. At any rate, don't worry...WW

Too bad its on a Friday night, won't be able to make it down there, believe me, if I could, I would! However, work calls ...I do know that some of my "cronies" will be making the trip downtown....That will have to be one great show, damn, the House of Blues - Chicago. Will have to catch the next show at either Fitzgeralds or at HOB.....

Webb, make sure you rock that house like you do everytime at Fitzgeralds.

I say congrats on a great gig at HOB ... I think if HOB was smart they would book WW at all their venues at least once a year.... and promote the heck out of it so he could have the monster crowd he deserves to play for... win over those 3-1/2 new fans TIMES 100 ... then WW could buy a lot of new guitar strings. HOBs are great venues to watch a show, too bad Chi-Town is a little far for me to try to travel for a show.

A local paper listed it as a 10:00 pm show. Also, I agree with Bruno on the parking and beer $. Hard to pass up Webb though!

Webb played HOB in Chicago many years ago, and it was just super! Well worth the parking and admission! Wish they recorded their shows, or webcast them, or do they? Glad to see you back there Webb.

This show is going to be a tough one to miss and I rarely miss Webb when he comes to town, however its not looking good. I've called in sick, taken a vacation day, heck, even taken a day without pay so I can be present for a Webb show, but I've used up all of my time from work, our fiscal year goes from June to May and I only have 5 days left and thats for my yearly Canada trip at the end of May. So.....whoever goes and I'm sure whoever goes to Fitzgeralds will be at the "House" on May 2nd, please post a full report so the ones that couldn't make it can surely regard it missing it, like me.......

At least I have all of Webb's music downloaded on my MP3 so I can listen to it on the 16 hour drive up North

As for the web cam of the show, I wonder how hard it would be to take a lap top and "Webb" cam it? I have a lap top, but I am not all that computer smart.
I doubt I could pull that off. Show would be over by the time I got it going.
