I remember they actually did get it played "day of Superbowl" on network TV...maybe more than once? Trouble was, most folks didn't know who me or the band was and since there weren't any of us in the video, it didn't seem to do a whole lot for us! WW

I've been a loyal WW Fan since he opened for Joe Ely at Nightstage in Cambridge MA back in approximately 1988. I have not seen Webb peform since 1993 at the Middle East in Cambridge MA. I remain hopeful to see another show or 20! Heading out on Delbert McClintons Cruise at the end of the week....sure wish WW was a cruise mate, God knows I've tried over the years....

That show in Cambridge you mention is one I remember pretty well. Back in those days, I still did the "Dance For Daddy" dance. I hurt my leg kinda bad tryin' to jump into the van that afternoon and a goose egg appeared on it. Wasn't feelin; much like shakin' a leg but, I did. We had played with them at The Lone Star in NYC the night before and Keith Richards showed up! He came to see his ol' pal, Bobby Keyes who was playin' with Ely. In Cambridge, backstage, I asked Bobby what transpired after the show. He said,"We went over to Keith';s place and listened to "Exile" on CD. It sounded great." CDs had just come out! WW
