Subject: Knucklehead's on Saturday Night
Wow! What a weekend for ol' MB.

Nothing is sweeter than two nights in a row of live music from Webb Wilder & the Beatnecks. I loved Columbia as a city. Yes, population 84,000. Mojo's in Columbia was a nice prelude to what was to happen at Knucklehead's.

Kevin Gordon opened solo and was later joined by Jimmy & Tom. I'd love to see him back sometime. (Unfortunately, he wasn't around when the guys did "Jimmy R is the King of Rock 'n' Roll".)

Sorry, no set list as they vanished immediately and I see nobody on the Board got one or they haven't had the opportunity to post. Somewhat different selection from Friday night but lots of tunes off of "More Like Me" that were well received. Don't know about sales at the show because everyone that I talked to ALL READY HAD THE CD. Webb Wilder & Jimmy Lester, Tom Comet, Bob Williams, (collectively known as the Beatnecks) started off with "Big Time" and the energy was so "on" that the circuit breakers or what ever BLEW for the first time ever @ Knuckleheads. It was awesome. The rest of the evening was just as electric including an impromptu train song accompaniment with a passing train ala Webb. Bob Williams is a delight and you never know what guitar prestadigitations he is going to deliver. What more can I say about Jimmy Lester & Tom Comet that you don't know. They ROCK!

I can't remember a weekend where I walked so much, drove so much, and danced so much. Oh, yeah! Webb Fan Fest III !!! At my age, I have determined that it is better to feel like crap after tons of activity than to feel like crap just lolly-gagging around. So as we grow older and have to feel like crap anyway, it is better to have fun and be active along the way.

That's all I have to say about that.

There were a few cameras at the show. Hopefully there will be a posting or two.

Bennie & I made it down to KC from NE Sat for the show. It was Bennie's first one....it won't be his last. He's ready to go to the next one, even asked about WebbFest, but I can't go this year.... dang it.

Saw MB & Mitchell there and got to speak to them briefly. Nice to see you both again.

I did get a few pics and hopefully I will have time this week to send them to the powers that be for posting.

Fantastic show, guys. Thanks for playing No Great Shakes for me. You are the best!

You should! They have shuttles to & from some of the hotel/motels. Check it out. KnuckleheadsKC.com.

Can't say when Webb & the Beatnecks will be back but Knucklehead's has many good shows worth checkin' out. I always get out of my "comfort zone" for WW & the Beatnecks no matter what. Somewhere along the line I'd like to just sit and watch the show but my friends keep draggin' me out to dance. Guess they hate seein' me squirmin' and tappin' my foot in my chair. At least it didn't rain!

Thanks, Eric.

You all are fortunate to live in the region where the Webb Wilder experience is only a few hours away every what, couple of weeks. Try to imagine being out here in the hinterlands where we see WW & the Beatnecks maybe twice a year. Definitely worth a two hour pilgrimage to Columbia. St. Louis requires some special timing. At least some Texas dates are scheduled for Nese and the fans down there. Well, I'm done whining.

Bowling Green is within acceptable driving range. Chris, if you have never been to a Webb Fan Fest, you should definitely consider it. The experience is worth every penny.

Better a shuttle than a DUI/DWI.

I was just sayin' that some shows in Houston or Texas in general would be good for you. Understand?
