That's kinda spooky. But very cool, and fitting.

Yes, Eric, it is true, we have been laying low. Trying to get a new business going and both hit by the world's most aggressive and nasty virus, except for that one that eats your flesh. Naturally, as Glen is the man, he probably thinks that his virus, the same one that laid me low for about 4 weeks, was worse than mine. I dispute that and will most likely have to take him to court over it. As I learned from Court TV, our illnesses ran consecutively rather than concurrently, so this household was ill for quite a long time. Now we're better, and life is beautiful.

Which brings me to my next random thought. There is a wonderful free movie on demand right now if you have Comcast by that title, Life Is Beautiful. Here's a synopsis - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118799/synopsis . Both funny and tragic all at the same time. Makes me see how good I've really got it. It's Italian with subtitles, usually to be avoided, but well worth watching.

Guys, did y'all notice that you can buy that Elvis-Cheetoh painting (the word "painting" applied loosely here) as a giclee? This Cheetoh painting is obviously a new art form. Glen asked me if that was mixed media. What will they think of next? Anyway, Cheetoh painting is for those who have too much free time on their hands...

Thanks for sharing, Brenda! Good to see you on the 'Board. Its been awhile.

I wouldn't be surprised if that orange Cheetoh dust was UV resistant. I wonder what it looks like under a blacklight?
I also recommend "Life is Beautiful". It is a beautiful and haunting movie. There is a version that is over dubbed in English that I watched with my daughter, Emily some time ago. She had seen it at school and recommended that I watch it.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

MotherBear, the cheetohs may not only be UV resistant, but possibly radioactive as well. Not sure it's good to eat something that glows in the dark... ;-)

Interesting that the school showed that movie. How old was your daughter at the time?

Emily has seen "Life is Beautiful" twice in History classes at school. The first time was in 8th grade when she was 14 and last year as a Sophomore in high school. She must have been 16. Pretty heavy stuff but room for lots of discussion and getting them thinking about attitude and ways to deal with horrible situations. I'd like to see it again.

Also, we quit eating Cheetohs when the girls began reading the ingredients and caring whether or not their fingers and mouths were covered with orange dust. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Deb, give up Cheetohs? What would Elvis do? <g>

I'm impressed and *surprised* that the schools would have the good sense to show something like Life is Beautiful. If you're a Netflix fan, they've got the 5 part PBS Auschwitz series that you can watch with the View It Now option. Learned all kinds of things I'd rather not have known, but don't regret learning about.

Yeah, I know. Something about those that do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it????

I bet Elvis could fall back on those peanut butter & banana sandwiches. I love those!!!!

When Hobby Lobby stocks Cheetohs in the pastel/art supply aisle I will be worried.
