Subject: Nashville eats
The folks over on the Bottle Rockets board are wondering where to eat near the Basement. Any suggestions?

If you're looking for something to do in Nashville on Saturday 8/30/08 go see them-they're great! I hear the show might sell out...

Well, if they're around for lunch there are at least a coupla classic old time "meat and three" joints near there. One is on the same street as the basement: Arnold's. If you proceed toward downtown on 8th Avenue, just before you get to The Mercy Lounge/Cannery Ballroom, there's Arnold's on the left. If you turn left on Divison before you go that far look for the Pie Wagon on the right. Up around the nekkid statue(a little further on Divison) in th center of the roundabout there are various modern kinda places including Dan McGuinness's Irish Pub that will gitcha fed, etc. Best o' luck. I second Arnolds. If you want the full meat and three experience
you need to go to Rotiers once in your life. Only a short hike (if you are in the Marines) from Division on Elliston. If you really wanna get a good steak. Jimmy Kellys, a bit more of a hike, but you will meet some interesting folks on the way. On Louisia near Elliston.

Thank you for the suggestions! Otis Gibbs also chipped in with a few possibilities.
Too bad Arnold's is closed on Saturday and Sunday, they must be really popular to get away with that.
