Great new CD; sounds like something from a long time ago but new.

Well, right now I've got Split Lip Rayfield "Never Make it Home" in the CD player of the family roadster, and Son Volt "Trace" in the house. I'm still lookin for a new turntable, otherwise I'd have the Beat Farmers "Tales of the New West" on heavy rotation...

The only time I have anything in my CD player is when I'm ripping it to my hard drive. Then I use Windows Media player to listen to it. The most recent music I've listened to was Russell Smith's "The End Is Not In Sight" solo album. I believe Tony Bowles played on The Amazing Rhythm Aces album "Chock Full Of Country Goodness". Hmm, think I'll play that one now...

I'm currently listening to Elvis Costello's "Get Happy", having just seen him at the Ryman Wednesday night. Bruce Thomas is one of my all-time favorite bass players and he really tears it up on this disc. Come to think of it, Jack Casady is also one of my all-time favorites...

We used to call him Papa John 'Screech', due to his very frequent use of his trademark riff, a highly amplified ascending glissando.

Cowboy Junkies, Bob Dylan, Bottlerockets, Twinemen, a Joe Frank show, and an early mix of a recording I am working on. On my i-pod I have about 2200 songs including all of Webb's releases. I bring it to work every day and it takes about 3 weeks to cycle all the way thru. Amazing.............

Thank you Tom Comet for chiming in here. Jack Casady has been one of our favorites for a long time, he's one of the finest bass players ever. We got to meet him and Jorma several years ago at Wildwood Springs Lodge in Steelville, MO. They have a concert series there every fall featuring some pretty big name performers in a small, beautiful space. Jack was a lot of fun to talk to, a quiet, friendly little guy with a good sense of humor.
It's nice to know the current recording project is making progress!

"Where Joy Kills Sorrow" - a tribute to US country music by various Australian artists, many of whom I have not heard of otherwise. Paul Kelly is I guess the most familiar name of it. Produced by Graham Lee, of the great 1980s band, The Triffids.

Also I have given a spin lately to "Snakey" by Tony Joe White, "Rant" by Ian Hunter and "Seven Moons" by Bruce and Trower.

It's good to see a Residents fan on here. And Tater, with "In the Wake of Poseidon." I love that album. Buncha weirdos hang out here.
