This may have been touched on prior to RIGHT NOW, but what are the demographics of the Webb Base? I live in Austin MN and it is hard to see Webb. Have adored him and his band since the first time over 20 years ago. Since the removal of my ankle bracelet, with a wire cutter, hope to see him more before I expire. Lets have a Webb Fest locally.

Dry Branch, GA (about 15 to 20 miles from Macon). I have attended Webb's shows in Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC, Atlanta, Macon, GA, & Jasper, GA, multiple times in NC, SC, and Atlanta. A band I was in opened for Webb once (can't remember which city), and that was one of the most fun shows I have ever played in. It is great to see how widespread his popularity is, judging from the list of fans/cities on this thread. Not surprising, though, since it is one of the best live shows that you can go see/hear.

Trying to help you out Susan... but I can't do the proposing ... I can tell Tony that I know of several houses for sale, a recent subdivision that has several new houses, a totally new subdivision that they are still doing the grade work for so they can begin putting in water, sewer... so they can build.... AND I have a friend who is a contractor that is building a new subdivision off Allison Rd. He can build your house anyway you want it ... and his sites are ready to build on waiting for Mr. King to come by and make an offer... (maybe I can get a kickback out of this) ... and we'd still be neighbors and do that carpool... going to have to if gas keeps climbing.

Hey Billy - that is very interesting... feel free to come Home at the end of June and see Webb at his Home away from Home -- the Down Home. I never called it "Tiny" Flats before - and I drove through many many times before I moved here ('95)... but your right - the name did fit - but not as much anymore.

TommyLee - Had a conversation very similar to what you described recently when we told someone we lived in Nashville, and he said, "Yeah, I know that, but where do you actually live? Hendersonville, Franklin, Brentwood?" Don't know why it's so hard to believe, but we live in Nashville pretty close to Vanderbilt.

Nese, we don't live really close to your great aunt, we're in the southern part of the city just off Hampton Ave. Lots of gingerbread-style brick houses with neat little yards, most built in the 1930s.
We like it here, it's a nice neighborhood with many restaurants, stores etc within walking distance. As Brenda says, in a city of 350,000 within a metro area of about 4 million, people tend to assume that you live in the suburbs.

We look down our noses with "stuck-up" disdain at the Hovel where our neighbor, the Raliegh Lamma lives.
