Hey, kids! Gee, isn't adulthood fun? Well? Sometimes? I hope to provide LEGIONS of you with some fun this Friday night, before the brain police tamper with the time again on Saturday. Saturday being Halloween, who knows what rules of time and space will be violated when mere mortals with skewed skills tamper with the sanctity of TIME ITSELF!

Back to HALLOWEEN, though! Since Friday is the night before the NIGHT, I thought I'd make this month's special streaming solo performance a Halloween-ISH themed one, and call it, "SPOOK-tacular LIVE!" Check it out: FREE SHOW! In other news, let me just say that I am very excited to announce my involvement (however small) in the new Shemekia Copeland album, Uncivil War, which was just released last week. John Hahn and I wrote a song for it called "She Don't Wear Pink." I got to play guitar on it, alongside the great Will Kimbrough, who not only plays a LOT of guitar on the album, but also produced it. As if that wasn't enough, they overdubbed The King of Twang, DUANE EDDY, on there, too! Now there are THREE guitars on it. Lots of other guests on this album: Steve Cropper, Jason Isbell, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush. Heck, I'm probably leaving someone out. There's been a change in radio land as well. As many of you know, I've been hosting The List: The Americana Chart Show, weekly on Friday from 2-4pm, and Saturday 7-9am Central. Been doing that for WMOT/Roots Radio for two or three years now.

Well, NOW, I'm also on Monday through Thursday from 1-4pm Central! You can listen from anywhere at WMOT.org. Tune in 89.5 FM on an old school radio, if you're here in Middle Tennessee.
