Hey, ya'll. Yer full grown-ness here. How are ya? Buffeted by the storms of life, but safely moored by the anchor of ...? Not sure where I was goin' there. ANYWAY, I am pleased to tell you that I will be opening for the incomparable Nick Lowe this coming Tuesday, May 21, 2019. This is happening in Jackson, MS at Duling Hall. I (probably like you) am a HUGE Nick Lowe fan, and as Jerry Lee Lewis once told me, "You a pretty big boy, TOO!"
I digress. Anyway, I will be solo, as will Nick, and let me tell you, I saw and heard his solo show at the Franklin Theater in Franklin, TN Friday night, and he is WAY good at the solo show stuff.
Also, there has been a last-minute date added to the California trip that Tom Comet and I are embarking on in a couple of weeks. We will do a rare DUO show at The Strum Shop in Roseville, CA (think Sacramento) on Thursday, June 6, 2019. The show will take place between the hours of 7pm and 9pm. Tom will play electric bass. I will play acoustic, electric, both? Not sure, but I will play guitar and we will both sing. If yer in that neck o' the woods, please come!
As regards the latest in Wilder-Wear, let me proudly proclaim that we now have BALL Caps! Trucker caps? Whatever you call them, we have them. They're black in the front, embroidered with the WW logo in silver. You can get yours on our Swag Page as well as at the live shows.
But please, don't call them hats. They are CAPS. Calling caps "hats" has become a trend, and needs to be stamped out. This sort of thing may have begun when people began to refer to two or more people of varied genders as "you guys." "No specificity" is the forerunner of the collapse of civilization. Wait a minute ... that MAY have already occurred! All the more reason to get a cap, come to a WW show, and practice the Webb Wilder Credo:
Work hard! Rock hard! Eat hard! Sleep hard!
Grow big... Wear glasses if ya need 'em!
