Grammy Museum MS and Unchained at the Mill - this week!

Hey, ya'll! Yes, we really talk like that where I'm from. Where AM I from? Well, Mississippi, of course! "IT Came From Nashville." WEBB WILDER comes from Mississippi!

I will be returning to the Magnolia state this week. Excited to be at the Grammy Museum in Cleveland, MS, this Thursday 4/11/2019. Proceedings begin at 7pm. The program will be officiated by learned musicologoist and scribe, Scott Baretta, after which I will perform solo and acoustic. I did one these "The Drop" programs with Scott Goldman at the Grammy Museum in LA a few years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was honored (as I am again) to be included and acknowledged by such a prestigous institution! Ya'll come! Ya gotta cross the Tallahatchie Bridge, though!

Next day, I will gather my rosebuds (while I may!) and head on back to Mewzik Bid'niss City. They say 100 people a day are moving here. I sure wish I knew what time they hit town every day, so I could try to get my errands done before they arrive. I know! Anyway, on SATURDAY 4/13/2019, I will head on down to Murfreesboro, TN (or MOBO as I like to call it) to play an event called "Unchained at The Mill." It's a charity event, a Chili Cook off, and Beer Brew Off at the site of the old Readyville Mill. The whole thing starts around 4pm. Secret Commonwealth goes on around 4:30. I will play around 6pm. Here's what the folks puttin 'er on have to say about it:

"The spring air will be filled with the sounds of music, laughter, and festive competition between local restaurants (no chains) for the title of best chili, and local brewers for a judges and peoples choice. Local artists will be on hand to offer their talents for display. Proceeds will go to Cannon County Community for Animals and Kymari House. If you would like to donate more, or can't attend and still want to help there are additional $10 donation tickets available these will not get you access to the event but proceeds to the Cannon County Community for Animals and Kymari House."

Tickets will be $40, and you can get yours by clicking this link. Included are parking, sampling of all chili, sampling all beers (must be 21 with valid ID, no exceptions), live music, participation in a popular vote for the chili & beer prizes. You'll also get a souvenir tasting glass, bowl, spoon, and voting token. Profits will be split between Cannon County Community for Animals, and Kymari House. Walk-up tickets will be available on the day of the show.

Later in the month I will be playing the legendary Merle Fest over in NC with The Beatnecks. Merch at all shows as well as online.

AND DON'T FORGET, my radio show, The List: The Americana Chart Show airs each and every week on WMOT 89.5 (website: wmot.org). Should be on at it's regular times, on-line, and on the air Friday 2-4pm Central and Saturday 7-9am Central. Hey, can't make the time(s)? No sweat. Go to wmot.org and check out Roots Radio Replays.

Okay, that's what's happenin' this week. Be nice to one or another, or as they used to say when I was a kid (thousands of years ago, now), "Play purty."
