Turkey Day is done now, it's time for havin' FUN! Fun is that which I seek as I sojourn Southward for not one but, THREE solo/acoustic shows deep down in Dixie! All three venues are among my favorite haunts, so I am really looking forward to them. Friday, 11/30/2018, will find me at The Red Dragon in Baton Rouge, LA, where many great artists ("I'm not whirrrrrr-thee!") have pre-formed. One of a kind, warm, and inviting place owned and operated smoothly and selflessly by Chris Maxwell and his family. The Red Dragon is VERY special. Showtime: 8pm.
Then, Saturday 12/1/2018, it's on to the Crescent City, New Orleans, LA! What a wonderful and magical place! Chickie Wah Wah (named for the song of the same name) is right there on Canal Street and always fun. Great little joint. Love Chickie. Another 8pm showtime.
Sunday (12/2/2018) is so one-of-a-kind that words just don't get it. Cathe Steel has created an entertainment Sunday tradition with her Frog Pond concert series in Silverhill, AL (near Fairport), and it's an AFTERNOON thing. Show starts at 2pm. Loose, outdoors, laid back and GROOVY. This week I will be joined by Grayson Capps, Corky Hughes, Andrew Dujon, Johnny Sansone, and John Fohl. VERY special!
As per usual, my radio show, "The List: The Americana Chart Show" will air on Friday between 2pm and 4pm Central, and again on Saturday morning between 7am and 9am. Catch it on WMOT 89.5 and online at wmot.org, where previous episodes can also be heard under the menu "Roots Radio Replays."
