Is it September already? Wow! Don't get me started. How is everybody?
Well, Americana Fest promises to be a real whamdoodler this year, with all sorts of folks doin all sorts of things. I am making THREE appearances onstage during the fest and probably a lot more off stage!
This Tuesday night, 9/11/2018, I will be one of many folks who will take part in "Better Together: Get Up and Sing!" at the Basement East here in Nashville. Im just doin' one song, but, excited to take the stage with Chuck Mead and the Grassy Knoll Boys, augmented by the always terrific Jen Gunderman on keyboards, as my stellar accompanists.
THEN, on Friday, 9/14/2018, I will host a Writers-in-the-Round sponsored by The Americana Music Association with Will Kimbrough, Bill Lloyd, and myself, at the world famous Bluebird Cafe between 6pm and 8pm.
Saturday night (its a late add), the Beatnecks and I will play a 45 minute set at The 5 Spot in East Nashville, at 11pm as part of Americana Fest 2018. I know that wristbands and Fest badges will be honored at the door at the 5 Spot, but I imagine you can also pay the always $5 cover as well, as that is their thing, ya know? The Bluebird show would be the same thing, but it may sell out. After the success of the Nashville TV show (which featured the Bird consistently), lots of folks come just to see the club. Webb who? Well, there is the added bonus of both Will and Bill being there with me!
All right. My radio show, "The List," will air at a slightly different time this week on WMOT 89.5 (also wmot.org). On Friday, it'll be 10am to Noon Central. But it will air at its usual time of 7-9am Central on Saturday morning.
