Hello Wilderians,
Last night I went to see Rev Peyton's Big Damn Band in Bilston, England. I thought the crowd would be receptive to some full grown sartorial elegance so I sported my Webb Fest 8 T shirt. (A personal favourite) I'm pleased to report several positive comments were made about the Credo. (This often happens.) But one chap said "I thought I was the only one who knew about Webb Wilder!" We had a brief conversation and he promised he would look at the Webb site and renew his ESTA with a view to coming to Webb fest 10. I hope he does and get to meet up again in October. The British are coming?

Have any members of the lovin' public had similar encounters?

(BTW RPBDB were fantastic.)

I was wearing my "Yard Dog/Lucy Mae Blues" shirt when my wife and I recently went to see a friend's band play at a local bar. A lady asked where I got it and told me that I was the only other person she had met (besides her husband) that knew of Webb Wilder.

I told her about Webb's web site and his cinematic endeavors, of which she had been unaware.

Another pair of Wilderians in the making.

I was camping up in the Watagan Mountains a few years ago which is a remote camping area not too far from where I live in Australia. Myself and some mates were sitting around a campfire when in the distance I could hear Safeside playing then Wild Honey came next. I couldn't believe it & like a rat to the pied piper I was off in the bush in pitch black darkness until I came upon the people playing it and struck up a conversation. They didn't seem to get the importance of me finding someone playing WW but it made my night.

Cool! "Hybrid Vigor" probably got more exposure down under than the others because "Cannonball" made enough of a stir (for about a minute) at radio there that they sent Donny Roberts and me down for a promo tour. As soon as we left it fell off the charts. WW

Tater has Donny's itinerary for that promo tour and showed me. He is going to make me a copy so I can try and track down some of the other television appearances you made apart from HeyHey it's Saturday which I gave to Hunter last year.
