	Along with Webb, John Fogerty, Dave Edmunds and the Blasters, Joe Ely is one of those artists that I will buy a CD of without giving it a single listening first. I first heard Joe Ely when he opened for the Clash back in the late 70s/early 80s and have been a huge fan ever since. His turn of a word and lyrical magic is a wonder to behold.

	I sawJoe last month at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, Kentucky (across the Ohio River from Cincinnati). It was a good show. Webb, you played the Southgate House before it changed location and had "Revival" added to its name. You ought to play the new place!
