Good interview. I particularly liked this line, "It sounds like the people that don't know about me don't know about me, and the people that do, there's at least a large percentage that think it's cool."

When you get to KC, maybe you can fill Ms. Gallagher in on the difference between an "Indiana Jones fedora" and a "hillbilly detective hat".

Well, despite the errors, I really appreciate the time MS. Gallagher took up with me and the amount of space the Pitch devoted to this piece. I must have confused her in the telling of the story of cutting "Battle of the Bands." I mentioned that the studio was owned by Bucky Baxter who DID in fact play steel with Dylan for a long time but, the point I was trying to make was that STEVE CONN'S keyboard playing gave us a whole different roll to the rock on that one. Still, glad to have a little coverage to promote this show which should be fun. WW

Webb has been known to talk purty fast, especially when there is vital information to impart.
His diction is usually remarkably clear, but I surmise that the subtle influences of his birthplace and later locales of habitation may have caused a few words to become indecipherable to her Midwestern ears.
Or something.

Unfortunately, there are few interviewers that are old enough to have been there, done that in Kansas City. Anyone worth their salt would know about the 1980's scene here and the credo. AND about Webb Wilder and the Beatnecks. Has this interviewer ever been to Knuckleheads? The Grand Emporium, The Lone Star, Parody Hall or was born in 1985?

Webb Wilder has received recognition way beyond anything mentioned in this sad article. The Pitch is a shadow of its former self. It makes me sick.

I would love to be at Knuckleheads on Saturday but I am currently dealing with the declining health of my mother, children that are just getting on their feet as adults and my own survival.

It was a "nice" enough article and I am glad that they chose to include Webb in "The Pitch". That is truly something.
