Noticed you do a version of this one on About Time. Curious to know how you came to pick up on the song. As I'd guess you know it was written by Wayne Walker, one of the best rockabilly guys ever. And of course Johnny Burnette did a cover of it in the early 60s. Which version inspired you to do the track? Thanx!

The Gants. R.S. Field (priducer at the time) had talked about this song by the Gants for a long time. We finally got around to doing it. The Gants were from Mississippi as am I (and R.S.) so, we thought it would be a cool thing to do. WW

Amazing. I'd forgotten all about that version. Gants were doing some amazing garage rockers back in the day... but I didn't know they were from MS. Thanx for the inside scoop Webb.

They were/are older than me from Greenwood or Greenville, MS? The fuzz sound on the guitar solo on their version is some kind of fuzz box their guitar player MADE and this was EARLY on for stomp boxes and stuff. They opened some shows for The Animals, had some records, came close to being really big. WW
