Well another WebbFest is over. It was a great night! A different venue than the past few years but it offered a much better setting for socializing. A nice sound to the room and hearing DooDad in entireity was special. Thanks as always to Tater & Dolly, what a job they do! A tireless couple! My wife Dori, she dots the I's and crosses the T's!! Hunter did a fine job as host! Kept things moving nicely. Thanks to the Tater Tots, young and older,Nece, my wonderful friend Tony, Tommy & Patrice, tougher than nails Gary Brill and all that help to make this happen! It would not come off without you! Mick & Sue, what can I say! Thanks for making the trip, let's do it again! Bryan Locke, you were there in spirit! Keep spinning Webb! Hope all made it home safely, see you next October!

I agree 1000%!!!! I was great to make the pilgrimage south again for an AWESOME show!!! It was great catching up with some old friends, and meeting a few new ones. I also had a blast hangin' with everyone at the mandatory after-party. It made for a short nite, but it was worth it!!! Can't wait till next year!!! Thanks everyone for making this possible!!!!

Fantastic to hear it was yet another successful Webb Fest!

Let me tell you -- I was stuck here in Wisconsin and Saturday night was a somber one!

"Mandatory" after-party? I enjoy everyone showing up. Thanks to Webb for "pleasing Nese". What The???
I know you were a bit under the weather and I appreciate you hanging out with us for awhile, signed your loving public!
I WAS pleased but it wasn't mandatory. I think it's a great time to get to hang out in a chill setting without a party/concert/alot of noise going on and I'm glad people
like to do it.

It was a VERY long trip back home but worth it, I even got to nap during a few construction delays on I-40 AND I-30. Don't you just love it when the sign reads:expect lengthy delays.

Will be posting some photos on my facebook page, if you are not a friend already, search for everyonelovesnese to see them. I guess I could just post a link to the photos, if facebook wants to work for me.

Thanks to EVERYONE for pulling off another great one...and didn't that stage backdrop look great?! I guess my luck ran out for the guitar.

Poor choice of words on my part, Nese. Wasn't feeling my best but, wanted to drop by anyway. Hope you all enjoyed the stories of my "troubled youth!" Thanks to the A-team who always come through. Thanks to everyone who came. Thanks to D93 for getting behind the show, local TV for having me on although NO ONe seemed to have seen it when I asked the crowd about it. Do people who go see live music ever watch noon time TV? Probably not. Thanks to Glen Steinkamp who comes and fims the dang thing every year. TATER!!!!!!!!, Dolly, Mike, Dori, Hunter, Nancy, The Beatnecks, Rob, Bryan Locke, Tommy Starr and many more...Eric, Tony King, Gary Brill (gitcher motr runnin'!). Nese drives so far and never seems road weary. Wow. You get the golden steering wheel award or something. Yes, got sick but, feeling better. See ya next year! WW

Thanks to all who posted the comments, sorry to hear you weren't feeling the best, Webb, but you always give it your all, and then rest and recouperate after. The set list looks like great fun, I'm guessing a DooDaD Live album coming out eventually? That would be really good. Hope everyone made it safely home, and recharged from the dose of R&R !!

I left people out and there's no way to thank everyone by name but, Tommy Lee and Pammy Lee always get Wilderians Emeritus mention. There were a coupla ladies who came from Canada. They SWORE it was the only reason they were stateside. There was the couple from the Uk (front row all smiles!) We missed Omatic, Linda, Roger "the man from God knows where" and so many others but, the folks in Bowling Green REALLY turned out I must say. Thanks, ya'll. WW

We got to hang out with Mick and Sue, the folks from Litchfield, UK (aka Highway Tsar). Big Webb fans and fun people! They easily won this year's "Snake Award" for longest trip to WebbFest.
I had my doubts about the Warehouse but it worked out fine. It was great to have time and space to socialize before the show, the food was OK and the owners did a fine job of getting the place prepared. The PA was plenty loud but could have been higher quality, needed a bass box or two to fill out the low end. We'll work on that for next year, assuming the tradition continues in the same location.
Many thanks to the Beatnecks for playing their hearts out, Tater and his clan for doing the heavy lifting every year and to everyone who came, especially the Friday night bunch and the Official WebbFest Set-Up Crew. You know who you are!

You are what you is!
You are what you is!
I finally made it back to work today (Wednesday). I would have posted sooner but temporarily have no internet hookup at home. I was like Webb in that I was sick Saturday also. I thought the show went off great again this year. It's all due to the fantastic amount of help we get from all those who pitch in and make things happen. Nese and I with the help of Tommy Lee and Dolly set up the stage backdrop and plastered it with old posters and show bills from very old to very recent. I received a lot of the older stuff from Mr. Donny Roberts who was kind enough to send me a treasure-trove of old Webb memorabilia. Webb and George Bradfute also contributed to the background with some show bills from Europe and the USA. From noon on Saturday, right up till show-time, people were like a bunch of ants working their collective butts off, hanging posters, re-arranging chairs, blowing up balloons, buying thumb-tacks, running camera cords, carrying in music equipment, arranging door-prizes, setting up SWAG tables, selling raffle tickets, 50/50 drawing tickets, etc. It all seems to come together without a hitch but that is because people spend a lot of time thinking and re-thinking what needs to be done.
Sue and Mick Wilkinson (Hoodoo Witch and Highway Tsar) showed up big time and I really enjoyed spending time with both of them. I feel like I have met a long lost brother in Mick. They were heading for Nashville and Memphis when I last saw them and I hope they enjoy their 18-day American Tour. I believe everyone at the show tried to make them both feel welcome and a part of the team!
Cindy Read, from Glasgow, KY was the lucky lady who won the Flying Vee guitar. Bob Williams made it sound like a $1,000 guitar when he played it on stage.
I'd like to thank Dolly, Mike and Dori, Tommy Lee and Patrice, Tony King, Gary Brill, Nese, Mick and Sue, Julie, Missy, Aaron, Nick, Eric and son, Glen Steincamp, John Kaspermeyer, Nancy, Rob and Webb, Jimmy, Tom, Bob, Danna, Pam and Amy for doing all that you do!
Bryan Locke, Tommy and all the folks at WDNS radio always give us more air time than we could possibly afford to buy and Hunter Goatley is our archivist, DJ and Emcee. I hope I have not left anyone out. If I did, I'm sorry. I hope everyone comes back to Webb Fest VIII next year and we'll do it again. I have some photos to post and I did take a few shots of the stage with no-one on it in order to show the background in a better perspective. Thanks everyone!

I too had a a great time hanging out and seeing the fellow webb boarders. Great show, myself and Conner (my youngest at 9 years old) made the long ride up Saturday and had a wonderful time together. Thanks to my great friends Tater and Dolly - and all who are involved making this happen.

I had always thought - with how good the Doo Dad album is - that it would make a cool concert all by itself and I sort of pictured Webb doing that ... never thought it would actually happen ... so pretty cool that it actually did get played that way!! Made for a cool first set ... but like Webb said ... Baby Please Don't Go should have been the last song - switching that and Too Much to Dream ... so that set goes out like he closes a lot of his shows.... great none the less.

Thanks Webb and the Band for another good night enjoying all things Webb.

Not to fail to mention...Thanks so much to Glen Harness for the wallet he so kindly donated! It was a beautiful hand made door prize. A lot of his time went into this and the fellow that won it was thrilled. Thanks again Glen and to all who donated items!
