Of course, the minute you post, you realize what you SHOULD have written:

Marshall Richardson
Bryan Owings, Paul Griffith
Jimmy Lester too.

I think Rick Reed played with us a time or two, but Paul is definitely a van vet!

I didn't realize that Webb had that many different drummers backing him. Although I'm a pretty big Los Straitjackets fan, I'm glad to see Jimmy back with Webb.

You were there for Donnie's audition with Webb? Cool. Would you tell us about it, please? I guess he was really impressive. I know I was totally knocked out by his playing. How did he and Webb happen to get together?

OMG- I forgot Greg Morrow! That's a big oversight- my apologies to Greg! Feel free to substitute his name for any of the other three syllable ones. There must be others I'm forgetting too, but you know how it is when you're in hot pursuit of Haiku...

Of course, we're always glad to have Jimmy there- he's The Man, after all!

I went over to Webb's place a few times and played bass while he and R.S. auditioned future Beatnecks. Donnie was impressive, and I remember telling them I thought he'd be great for the band, but I'm not sure where they originally found him.

Thanks for the info. I hope that Donnie and all of the former Beatnecks are doing well.

He was playing with a woman named Nancy Montgomery who we use to see play with some regularity at a club here called Bogie's. Some of our earliest gigs (the first or second included) were there as well. WW

It would be great to see a Webb Wilder 'Rock Family Tree.' In the style of Pete Frame.
