I'm planning to try to capture it, as I have the dozen or so radio appearances:

Here's a small blurb in Nashville's "The Tennessean" for last night's show:

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20090703/TUNEIN/907030314/1864/Tom-Hambridge-and-Webb-Wilder-link-up-for-show

Tom Hambridge and Webb Wilder link up for show

NICOLE KEIPER, THE TENNESSEAN July 3, 2009

Although he tends to get shoved under the "Americana" umbrella, the sounds on Webb Wilder's latest album, More Like Me, sure smack of tried-and-true old-school rock 'n' roll, from the propulsive beats to the thumping basslines and Wilder's fittingly smart, smirking lyricism and attitude-laden vocal.

Tom Hambridge is another real-deal rock 'n' roll guy, though he's been riding high recently as the producer of (and songwriter on many tracks from) a highly lauded slab of blues: Buddy Guy's Skin Deep.

The two team at 3rd & Lindsley (818 Third Ave. S., 259-9891) Sunday night for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $10.

The Lightning 100 broadcast of Webb's performance last night at Third & Lindsley is now available for download from my Webb site:

http://webbwilder.goatley.com/audio.html

Webb Wilder, Tom Comet, Bob Williams, Greg Morrow

It was recorded from the webcast and sounds very good, but not perfect, due to some audio artifacts from the relatively low-quality webcast feed. I've gotten spoiled from the 128Kbps streams some of the other stations have been using....
