Subject: Great Maryville newspaper article/interview
The Daily Times, Maryville, TN

Webb Wilder 'More Like' his creator than ever before

Great article, despite a couple of factual glitches related to Webb's albums.

I really like that article. I'd have liked the title "My Name is John" too.

Nice article!
I have a soft spot for Maryville, my parents met when they attended Maryville College.
Probably a University now...

Yeah, pretty good read - but you're right Hunter - us Wilderian Scholars could pick it apart with factual info...

I think Tater and I once talked about names he could use to do an album like this and use the slave name somehow.... like Johnny and the Mac Tones or something to that affect. My name is John would have been a cool title... of course the obvious progression to "More Like Me"

Hey Tommy Lee -- I think it is actually still called Maryville College... Webb has played in Maryville several times ... Brackins Blues Club and Smoky Mtn Harley Davidson are 2 places that I know of....

Steve Wildsmith is a long time, consistent supporter which I fully appreciate BUT, "Hybrid Vigor" was on Island. "Doo Dad" was on Zoo/Praxis/BMG. WW

I think what I noticed more then that was calling Doo Dad the sophmore effort and Hybrid the follow up .... when it should have been reversed.... no biggie.... otherwise good interview.

Maybe he can help you get booked back at Brackins again ... I liked that place - cool room to watch a show. Tell him to keep writing those good articles ... all pub is good pub.

Hate I can't come down to Knoxvegas this weekend... Out of town .... see you again sometime soon.
