Webb seemed in especially good spirits for the Sat. show at Old Smiths Bar. A tight set, with the modest crowd well into it. Tom appeared to have a slight buzz coming out of his amp now and then (either that or Tom had a slight buzz and the amp was fine), but even so... the band was in great form. New tracks Don't Slander Me, Still Waters, She's Not Romantic, Honky Tonkin In Mississippi and Too Cool For Love (excellent) were mixed in with many older favorites including the smokinest version of Hoodoo Witch I've ever heard. Despite 3 loud drunken buffoons in front of us, Webb did a great job of communicating with the audience... and had all of us laughing several times. The venue was just ok (upstairs and not enough seating) but overall it was a fun evening including a meet & greet afterwards.

Dadgum single coils!
I kept picking up Martian police radio on my dentures when I sat in the rocking chair to play my 'ol LP Junior with a P-90.
Had to switch to humbuckers, although I like the single coil sound better...

Glad to see a report on the Atlanta show. I was planning to attend. In fact, me and 2 buddies were right across the street when I had car trouble. It was 5:45 p.m. and we were saying "Maybe we better just go home" and we did. Freaking car wouldn't go in to neutral, reverse or park. As I was telling my wife the whole pitiful story, she said "There's probably a song in there somewhere". I immediately came up with the cryin'-in-your-beer country song name of "I Broke Down When I Broke Down." I hope Webb sees this. Maybe he will get a laugh out of it. Needless to say I had to take some of Webb's advice...."I just had to laugh to keep from crying..."
