Subject: Lodging for Webb Fest IV
The Brand New (opened January 09) La Quinta Inn & Suites located 1953 Mel Browning St. Bowling Green KY 42104 has agreed to block Webb Fest IV attendees 30 rooms at a rate of $69+ tax. They will also hold 10 rooms for Friday, WW IV eve at the same rate.

This property has an indoor pool and hot tub, wireless internet and a hot breakfast. Our rate is for a king or 2 double bed rooms. Suites are available at an additional charge. The property is a little less than 4 miles from the venue and cab service is available.

The hotel will hold these rooms until September 3rd, 2009 or until they are all taken, whichever occurs first. Reservations can be made by calling 1-270-783-0771 and stating that you are with Webb Fest IV.

The hotel is located at Exit 22 on I-65, has a Cracker Barrel directly across the street and numerous other restaruants within walking distance. There will be another hotel secured shortly to give folks a choice in there lodging.

Good deal. It looks like a nice place, from what I've seen. In addition to the Cracker Barrel, there's a Ryan's just down the street (separated from Cracker Barrel by a Mariott).

The Capitol Arts theater is located in downtown Bowling Green, and there really aren't any hotels near there.

While I'm at it, Bowling Green is also home to the Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave. We're also just about 20 miles south of Mammoth Cave, for those of you who have never been there.

Thanks Dori, Mike and Hunter. Between the three of you Bowling Green may want to consider putting you on their Chamber of Commerce!
The Corvette museum is a very nice attraction. The day we met in Bowling I stopped there and so did Webb.

For the motor enthusiasts, here's another one. The Corvette plant offers tours on weekdays:

I don't know if that's part of, or near to, the museum Hunter mentioned.

A bunch of Chevy employees moved there so they could continue to work on the Vette.

We are trying to land another New hotel, about a year or so old, that is at the Corvette plant/museum exit 28. It is within walking distance of the plant & the museum.

Still negotiating with them. Hope to update soon.
