Say what? Where does it appear on the album George? I have only listened twice and on an ok, but not stellar piece of equipment and I don't hear it.

You might mistake it for a guitar. Kinda sounds like a 12 string. It's the principal acoustic instrument you hear on the track:intro, etc. It's a Delvecchio resonator mandocello. They are made in Brazil. The resonator guitars they made were favored by Chet Atkins and others but, were famous for often having to be worked over quite a bit to play in tune and perform up to professional standards. The reward is the great tone/sound. WW

They call it a mandocello because it's a bigger cousin of a mandolin. Not sure about the tuning. WW

I just spoke with George and encouraged him to chime in on this. He informed me that it is NOT a mandocello! It's a MANDOLA. Well, there's a mistake in the liner notes. Nonetheless, it is all the other things I said and appears on "Romantic." A mandocello is a much larger instrument. WW
