Tom did the doin' of the art. He an' I palavered over it heartily a'fore that. Those items comprising the elements of said kiv ver ort all came from my personal E-fex. We WILL be offering the CD for sale as ssoon as we can. I have an e-mail into the label now to see if they're cool with taking advance orders. If Amazon is doin' it, why can't we? We probably can. Yes, it is all "new" material. None of these songs have ever been recorded or released by WW before. Five of them I wrote since the last album. The other seven are what I think to be some really cool songs by other folks, some of which I've been hankerin' to render on fer quite a spell. Okay! Progress! Stay tuned. THANKS! WW

More kudos to TC from me for the cover art. It sort of does remind one of Oingo Boingo or a hilarious spoof of a Grateful Dead cover. Definitely "Ju-Ju" oriented. I hope to buy this in person but will do whatever I need to in that regard.

Thanks to all for the positive comments on the cover; we're obviously very happy with it! Although I did the actual nuts and bolts work- the photography, image editing, typography, and layout, Webb ultimately deserves most of the credit for providing the concepts, the objects, and tons of aesthetic input at every stage of the process. Check out the Press Kit page and see the enlarged version while I go Google 'Oingo-Boingo' to see what y'all are talking about...

Oingo Boingo was headed up by Danny Elfman. He now does a lot of film scores, especially for Tim Burton. He is also a big fan of Mexico's Day of The Dead hence all the sleletal influences.

Good heavens, that's bizarre!

But, to borrow a phrase from Rufus at the end of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure".... "They do get better!" Well, Danny Elfman did, anyway.

Yeah, that video was from the days when they were known as The Mystic Knights Of The Oingo Boingo. They were more street performers at that time and hadn't yet become an actual band.

BTW, thanks for all the "props" and beyond, Tom. You took some of my ideas and made them great, not to mention the hours and hours of work, embellishing , encouraging, suggesting, what if-ing and maybe nots you provided all along the way.. Glad so many people like it. When we were kickin' ideas around and it started to come together, I told Tom,"Yeah, it's kind of like if Mad magazine had done the Grateful Dead's "American Beauty" cover! WW

Mad Magazine publishes its 500th issue in April of 2009.

Sadly, because of coporation cut backs, it will regress from a monthly to a quarterly publication after that issue.

Sweet Cheeses! I've been wanting to see Oingo Boingo on The Gong show for 31 years! I had heard that they were on the show back before I had heard the band. I was a teenaged TV Guide geek, and I used to save TV Guides. The feature they had on the Gong Show mentioned them by name as if anyone outside of L.A. FREEKZ had ever heard of "The Oingo Boingo" in 1978! Two years later (or four years after this appearance) they became the Band and I wondered if I would ever see this. A Boingo fan I knew used to tape re-runs on USA Network daily in the hopes of catching this episode after I mentioned this appearance. Special thanks to NoGreatShakes for passing this along!
