There are SO many....One that's often overlooked (I don't think I can say which is my favorite) is "I Don't Wanna Spoil The Party," arguably the first or one of the first true Country Rock,"(not Rockabilly) songs. Of course "Paperback Writer" was like their "Jumpin' Jack Flash" or vice versa...something from another world that hit the radio and blew minds. Can't say, but boy what a catalog! Thanks, Tony. Deep in the jungle where the mighty tiger lies Bill and his elephants were taken by surprise So Captain Marval zapped him right between the eyes All the children sing
Hey, Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill
The children asked him if to kill was not a sin "Not when he looked so fierce" his mommy butted in If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him All the children sing
Hey, Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey, Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey, Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey, Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill Hey Bungalow Bill What did you kill, Bungalow Bill

| 26. On Tuesday, December 9th, 2008 at 10:14AM CharlieScott (a member) replied: CharlieScott Member Since: April 2008 | "Eleanor Rigby." Also great chords. Too many to list. In 1964, my mother worked at a privately owned drugstore (remember those?) that sold vinyl records. One day she brought home an album entitled, "Meet The Beatles," (wouldn't it be swell to still have it?), and told me they were all the rage. I was probably in the seventh grade. I put it on, and a monster was loosed. This was also about the time my Uncle David went off to the army and gave me his Silvertone guitar with the lipstick pickup. I took and old record player, removed the needle and made an amplifier. (The guitar original had the amp in the case, but, alas, it wasn't extant anymore.) I have a well-worn songbook with music in the original keys, entitled "The Compleat Beatles." It is everything that they wrote, but due to licensing issues, it doesn't include "Anna," for instance. | |

The Beatles was all I listened to as a child, I even saw them live..twice! I may have been the only 4yo in the audience. I have a story about between the shows. Anyway..."And Your Bird Can SIng", "Don't Bother Me" and alot of the early stuff, maybe because those are the songs that captured and threw me into the crazy world of music. Bless The Beatles!
