Sittin' on Fat Tires! | Subject: Phoenix Hill (Louisville, Kentucky) We had a BLAST! It was so nice to see Jim, Dolly, Roger, and The infamous Hunter Goatley! Mike and I had a competition on who could bring the most people. 10 of my friends came and Mike had 3. It had been a while since we had seen the Man and the Band and they played like no tomorrow. Gosh it is obvious they love what they do. Bob is like good wine, he just keeps getting better and better. Tom had a sparkly new, wampodelic colored orange bass guitar. I will send pics of it, WOW! Webb after being off for two weeks, your vocals rocked the house. Jimmy, you are consistently awesome! I'm sorry I forgot to get a setlist. I saw Hunter with one maybe he will post. Thanks Webb for playing G.L.O.R.I.A. it is one of my favorites. I wish all a safe trip home tonight. Mike and I feel we have really made great friendships going to Webb Shows. It has really made a difference in our lives. See you in St. Louis. Take Care, Dori & Mike

I can only echo what Dori wrote above. Incredible show, and the band sounded so tight. This was my first Bob show, and I was simply amazed by his playing.
It was great to meet Jim, Dolly, Mike, Dori, and Roger, and to speak to Tom and Webb again.
I did get the setlist, but I'll have to post it tomorr---er, later today. The encores were "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Gloria," neither of which I'd been lucky enough to see the band perform live. Great versions of both!
Thanks, everyone!

Sounds like y'all had a great time. Good to get the family together for a show - hate I wasn't there to join in too....

I was so thrilled to hear "Hoodoo Witch" again! And "Gloria" was just as amazing as everyone else has said.

You are what you is! | I have to echo what evryone else has said about the Phoenix Hill Tavern gig. I am sending Hunter some photos as soon as I post this. It was great to see Mike and Dori. They treated Dolly and I to a steak dinner and of all the eateries in Loovil, Kentucky, we were seated next to Webb and the Beatnecks at Dittos. We got to see Roger from Indiana who, like us, will travel hundreds of miles to see Webb. We also finally got to meet Hunter Goatley in person. I got photos of Hunter with Webb and the rest of us. I told him it was almost like a Bigfoot sighting, seeing him at a show. The band was really spot-on. I told Dolly I'd like to hear Jumpin Jack Flash and Gloria as encores and Webb played them both. Webb's version of Gloria is the best I've heard. I don't know if he makes up the words on the spot or has them memorized but he tells a risque, swampadelic, mesmerizing, entertaining, 100 mile per hour rendition of a southern "Date" gone right! I'd like to see that on a new CD some day! Webb seems to pack them in at every venue in Loovil. Great show Tom, Bob, Jimmy and Webb!!!!!

We are really uninhibited here in KC about the dancin' and all. Pumped up in KC!!! MotherBear
