Guitar Goddess Barbara Lynn sat in with Webb and the Beatnecks friday night at Wilbert's in Cleveland and she was nothing short of amazing. If you don't know about her you should. If you're a Rolling Stones fan you may have heard them cover her song "Baby We Got a Good Thing Going," Here's a couple of youtube links where you catch her in action. If by chance you read this Barbara, it was an honor for us to share the stage with you!!!

check it out..

Cool! That first clip is from a 1960's television show called "The Beat!" that was filmed in Dallas but, utilized all(or mostly) Nashville people. These included the host, Hoss Allen who is famous for having been one of the iconic WLAC radio personalities, Billy Cox on bass (Yes, of Jimi Hendrix fame!) and Nashville R & B legend, Johnny Jones, Tthere is a great Freddie King video tape that I HOPE is now on DVD comprised of multiple appearances of his on this show and one from a later concert in Scandinavia. The second clip of Barbara you posted also reveals Dave Gonzalez of Palladins and Hacienda Brothers fame on guitar! It was a GAS having Barbara play with us Friday night! Last night (Saturday) she OPENED the American Music Masters Tribute to Les Paul Concert at the State Theater in Cleveland with BILLY GIBBONS providing additional guitar chores! This was a great show put on by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with too many iconic folks (including Les, himself!) to mention! I also saw Barbara perform a few years ago at The Ponderosa Stomp in Memphis. She is ALWAYS great. Thanks! WW

Rubbing elbows with the big boys and girls...I caught the Les Paul program on pbs sometime back and the "old guy" has still got it. It's great that you were able to help honor a great american icon.

Well, thanks. I was to have been on a panel that got cancelled. The reason came when LEs, himself consented to attend and everything got restructured. At 93, his health doesn't always allow travelling. That was certainly okay by me because Tom and I got to attend a Q & A that he and the Ventures did at Case Western University Saturday afternoon, then go to the big show that night at which Les and his group performed. That was super cool. WW
