That is awesome news... congrats Webb on being a part of something as historical as inducting THE Les Paul, into the R-N-R Hall Of Fame ....

Massive respect for Mr. Paul. Considerable respect for Webb. The best of both worlds! Anyone who's not seen the documentary "Chasing Sound: Les Paul at 90" is missing out on a portrait of a man who's exactly where he wants to be! Pick up on it!

Too cool. Time to dust off and relearn that Lester, Webb. I always have a time switching to that scale and action from Fendery things.

Thanks. The guitar is so associated with Les's name, that it sometimes obscures his unique and varied accomplishments as a musician, recording pioneer, hit maker and inventor. Although an EARLY advocate of the sold body guitar, the actual Les Paul guitar really had more Gibson (particularly Ted McCarty) designed features than Les Paul designed features. Gibosn acutally got Les's one irrefutable idea for the guitar WRONG on the first batch or two! None the less, he pushed so many envelopes and was and is SUCH an amazing talent and force of nature. I am proud to be included on this. I participated in a similar panel on Les here(Nashville) during the Americana Music Association's annual conference this Fall. I assume this will be a similar thing. They (The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) are inducting (for the second time) Les this year, ya know. WW
