Subject: Tony has a kidney stone
I had to take Tony to the ER at 4:30 this morning. He has a kidney stone. Now his system is diluted with Dilaudin and he is duly delusional (and probably sound asleep). Feel free to send him well wishes and crafty remarks at will.

Tony: I feel for you. I have had at least 8 bouts with kidney stones. The pain is so bad that I have (as my brother Buckwheat says) "cried like a big ugly girl".
They have a proceedure called Lithotripsy where they can zap the stones before they cause all that pain. Enjoy the dilaudid while you can and tell them to wake you up when the stone passes and its time to go home.

Roll away the stone! I have friends who've suffered with this same thing, Tony. Ouch. Sorry. "This, too, shall pass!" Hang in there. Best. WW

Awww, Tater, you beat me to the mention of Lithotripsy (do you ever sleep?). I was going to recommend it. I mean, how often do you get to have something EXPLODE* inside of you, and it's a GOOD thing??!? That's gotta be an "interesting life experience" to say the least.

Feel better soon, Tony!!

Speaking of jewelry, the last lithotripsy I had, resulted in me having a nice approx. 1/2 carat, kidney shaped, stone, in fine beer bottle earth tones that I plan on mounting onto a ring.

Darn it--yeah, Dilaudid. Goofed again by not paying attention to what I was doing. Too bad I am not taking advantage of the preview feature.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes. This is my fourth go-around with kidney stones, and they don't get any easier. I y'all haven't tried that Dilaudid stuff, you need to. It RULES!!

Hope you get to feeling better Tony. So far I have avoided this ailment. Drink lots of beverage of your choice to help spur the stone along.

Get well Tony.... need that Camera in Kingsport....

In all seriousness - I have had family from Dad to Uncle, cousin and sister who have all dealt with them in some way... including my brother from a different mother Tater.... but so far I have been lucky ... don't want them...

Hang in there "King of the Camera"

Hang in there Tony - I too have suffered through that grueling pain. They couldn't do the lithotripsy on mine though - not fun! Anyway -- keep the fluids going and good luck!

Doesn't it go:

Wherever he laid his head was a moan

Or something like that.

Yeah, I am feeling much better. I don't know if I passed it, because I never saw it, but I don't have any more pain. I don't know what I would have done without Susan that night. This was my fourth go around and it was definitely the most painful. Thanks again for all the well wishes. See y'all at Kingsport and again at WebbFest '08.
