Now, when you're filling out the posting form, there's a new field: Preview Post.
When the box is checked and you submit your post, you will be shown a preview of what your post will look like when viewing the thread. When you're happy how everything looks, uncheck the box and click Submit again.
This should help prevent those bothersome "dang! that doesn't look right" scenarios. Now if you see a problem, you can simply edit your post and try again.
On the other hand, if you feel you don't need to preview your post, just uncheck the "Preview Post" box.

I may add an obvious "PREVIEW ONLY!" message tonight.
Also I've already thought about adding "default post previewing to off" profile option. But that's a bit more work than just changing the message.
It is, after all, a work in progress. Keep the feedback coming! | |

Ha ha! Yeah, I did that once too. But now I've added "YOU ARE NOW PREVIEWING YOUR MESSAGE" at the top. So hopefully that makes things clearer.

Yep, it's already planned (see my reply #8, third line).
Mostly it's a matter of spare time, but I do plan to add the option. The idea is to maximize convenience and choice for our members, similar to how Guests must pass a CAPTCHA test to post, but Members don't have to.
Speaking of the CAPTCHA... did you even know there WAS a CAPTCHA test now? I'm guessing most Board Members haven't even seen it. Log out and post as a Guest if you care to give it a try. | |

I am familiar with the CAPTCHA feature as I have a habit of forgetting my password on a few sites. I like the preview. As someone mentioned before, it doesn't filter out stupid. I have been guilty of that myself. LOL.
