Subject: Fitzgerald's Last Night
We just got unpacked from our trip to Chicago to see WW & the Beatnecks at Fitzgeralds. We drove up on Friday and took in a few of the sights. The Lollapalooza was going on but we got to enjoy Webbapalooza. We did experience the Wishbone adjacent to Fitzgeralds for breakfast on Sat and we highly recommend it, my first Cajun breakfast. The club is really cool with the folks being extremely friendly and easy to talk to. The no humidity factor we were told was Webb weather and hope to get some here in Kentucky. The guys were as hot as ever and this room sounds great. It was really nice talking to Linda Fay and meeting some other new Webb Board Members is always a treat. An 18 song set was followed with 2 encores. I want to say again, Bob, you are an awesome addition to the band and you are stronger each night. Jimmy and Tom rock solid as always. Guys, thanks for the tireless effort, America needs ya! Webb's set list is....

1) One Taste of the Bait
2) Only One
3) Horror Hayride
4) Lookin For a Fool
5) Pretty Little Lights
6) Lonely For a Reason
7) Poolside
8) Changing Colors
9) JuJu Man
10) Come Around
11) Miss Honky Tonkin'
12) The Rest (Will Take Care of Itself)
13) Slow Death
14) Baby, Please Don't Go
15) Jimmy Reed
16) Had To Laugh
17) Louisiana Hannah
18) Tough It Out

Encore 1

19) Hittin' Where it Hurts
20) Jumpin' Jack Flash

Encore 2

21) Meet Your New Landlord
22) Stay Out of Automobiles

See you in Atlanta on the 16th.
Take Care, Dori and Mike
P.S. Susan: Mike typed so check his spelling!

Awesome show. Juju Man and Miss Honky Tonkin were new to me, and were great. Bob's slide guitar added a whole dimension to the sound.

Webb ROCKS!
Webb ROCKS!
What a great weekend in Chicago! My Saturday started early, trying to get out of bed at 4:30, failed, and tried again at 5am. Packed and on the road by 6:45, to meet my friends from Aurora and head off to spend the day at the Chicago Botanic Garden- a wonderful place. The weather couldn't have been better for an August day spent outside. Got checked into the room about 6:30, exhausted (!!) and took a nap and actually ended up missing Webb's first 3 songs! I have Never Done That!! Ended up right in front of the stage though, for the rest of the night.

I have to say the band was HOT. The energy peaked with Slow Death and Baby Please Don't Go, and I swear I saw some smoke wisping off the guitars at that point. You can't hardly stop Bob once he gets going, nor would you want to. That guy can PLAY, and he's a treat to visit with also. What a great evening.

Loved seeing Mary, Jen, and meeting Dori and Mike (kychopper)- terrific people, all of them.

Thanks so much Webb, Tom, Bob, and Jimmy, and everyone at Fitzgeralds, who make the club such a great place to see the band.

Dori, I am trying to check Mike's spelling, but my red pen won't make any marks on the screen for some reason!
