I'm sure they spend a lot of time in the ol' Econoline... What do they listen to on their excursions? (and... if you could bring the ol' van back Roanoke way - that would be most appreciated :-)

Hey Christina - if you can find a copy of the WW album on Ebay called Town and Country.... it is an all cover album of music that Webb & the boys listen to.... now granted it doesn't have Beatles, The Who, The Stones...and other famous bands WW is a fan of on there... but gives you a good idea of the style and types of music they listen to....

As Webb said, that album was like a car tape of songs they would want to listen to on a road trip - except they played and sang all the songs.

I imagine them harmonizing a cappella on old minstrel songs and field hollers as the miles roll by. Perhaps tune in some crazy preacher on AM or a ballgame...

When I peeked in the window, there was an 8 track of Slim Whitman on the floor board and a Porter Wagner cassette.

Don't buy that Town and Country CD on ebay, buy it from the SWAG Czar right here on this site!

Check that last erroneous comment. I should have known better than to go against the great all-seeing "BIG E". It is "Scattered, Smothered and Covered" that is for sale here, not Town and Country.

Oh if only all the WW albums were available on this site... especially Doo Dad..... not that I don't have several copies of that album... but it's one of those you need one for every car AND one for the home system... so you never have to be without one. Maybe someday - it can be re-released like ICFN was... with bonus tunes.... yeah.... now I'm dreaming - oh well we can all live in hope.

Oh yeah, How darest thou doubt the words of The Great Big E... if I was closer I might smite thee Tater.

Or maybe just french fry him - or bake him (no we did that at the Down Home already) - maybe turn him into hashbrowns... ok now I'm hungry

A few months ago I was looking for something Canadian (Corb Lund?) on the Stony Plain records website. Lo and behold I found Webb listed there. Stony Plain apparently was the Canadian distributor for Watermelon, and they had (and still have) "Town and Country" listed. I bought a copy of T&C to give to my sister, and it was still in stock then.

They still have it listed, along with "Acres of Suede" and ICFN (the original version. If there are any obsessive compulsives out there who want a good copy of the original ICFN CD as a collector's item, this might be the place to get it.

I guess they have a box in the warehouse with some old Watermelon stuff in it. Their service was great when I ordered from them last year. The CD got from Edmonton to Roanoke in about three days.

Also, Stony Plain is the Canadian distributor for Blind Pig, so they have "Born to be Wilder" for sale too.

Well, hook me up. Not only do the Canadians have Rx for us but they have the out of print WW cds as well. What is the exchange rate for US $ vs Canadian $ ? Does their paper money have cute animals on it like the coinage? Just send the CDs.

Not as crazy as you'd think!!!!!
