Is Webb still writing with R.S.? At the Memphis show last week, Webb did a great version of "Old Copper Penny". As he was singing, I turned to my wife and mentioned that Webb would do a great job with the song, "Mr. Cellophane" from the movie "Chicago".

Never say never. I doubt either of those titles will be on the next album, though. You might be surprised as to what is! WW

We need new! It's been long enough since 2009's "More Like Me" release & as much as I love "Scattered, Smothered and Covered" & "Born To Be Wilder", both were essentially re-packaging older material and/or "live" versions of the same.

"Yard Dog" & "Lucy Mae Blues" only "whet the whistle" & leave me craving more!!! WE NEED MORE NEW STUFF!!!

Thanks for spelling "whet" correctly.

Still sounds great here in 2114.
Question about the first song, though...what's a "farm"?

Subject: About 'About Time'
I, for one, would not want to live in a world without "About Time"! It's a very unique and highly enjoyable piece of work.

Recommendation: If you never have, y'all should probably review this page...

I have all Webb's (available) music, including "About Time" (which is fantastic) - I just didn't mention it in my post.

For the record, I own a vinyl copy of "It Came From Nashville" (by Webb Wilder & The Beatnecks) on the (independent) Racket Records label - that's how long I've been into WW. In fact, I live in the D.C. "metro" area & used to see WW at the old 9:30 club where I would lean against the stage, standing directly below "the Twangler" & get sweated on...loved every minute of it!

I also have the "Roots Rock Action Figures" effort - you can't say I'm not a "junkie"...LOL

Ah yes, the RRAF...
I doubt that R.S. Field will work with Webb again, or put together a band of his own, but he's certainly not living in a Dumpster like someone told me a couple of years ago!
Here's one of his current production efforts:
