Subject: Solo shows...duo show, etc.
Just did two solo shows in KCMO. One was for a private party and the other one was in the Gospel Room at Knuscklehead's. They were both very special to me. Thanks to any and every one who attended either. I SO appreciate everyone out there who gives a dern about the "world of Wilder." Don't know how many of you read these things. I get the impression that some of you don't like Facebook. Well, I was resistant to it as well at first but, there's a lot of cool stuff there and it seems to be the best way we have for promoting shows these days. Of course, we always encourage everyone to sign up for the FREE e-mail list. An eblast goes out for 99% of the gigs I do. Speaking of which, I'm doing my FIRST ever full solo set in Nashville at the High Watt with Kevin Gordon on Sat. Dec. 14th here in Nashville. I've done writers in the round stuff, walk ons, TONS of band shows...duo shows but, this is the first full solo set in Music City for me and I've lived here since 1982! Whoa! The night before I'll be doin' the dew oh thing with everybody's favorite, Mr. Tom Comet @ Puckett's on the Square in Franklin, TN That one is Friday the 13th! Well, this is turnin' into a ramblin' recitation. Ciao for now. WW

Following the path of least resistance to the lowest common denominator!

I am pretty sure that first show was more special for me. No disrespect at all to the rest of the band, but you TOTALLY killed i and doing it solo showed off a completely different dynamic of your talents and abilities.

I am sure I speak for everyone who saw those shows... We will be talking about those shows for a long long time. They were *that* good.

One of the things I've always enjoyed about Webb is his ability to wax poetic during his shows. I took my wife to see Webb at Overton Park in Memphis this fall and she had a blast. One of the first things she said as we drove home after show was how much she enjoyed the way Webb interacted with the audience. We are heading back to Memphis on the 22nd for his solo show, and not only looking forward to the music, but also listening and enjoying the Webbisms that are sure to flow that evening.
