Too many of the great bands that came blazing out of Reagan-era Nashville struggled to survive the deafening silence that greeted their appeal for mainstream success. Webb Wilder, however, has continued rockin on his own terms, growing into a Music City legend in the process. Wilder and his band, The Beatnecks, serve up their concoction of old-school rock n roll country-fried and seasoned to timeless perfection with dashes R&B and surf. And singer-songwriter Dan Tyler penned hits for Eddie Rabbitt, The Oak Ridge Boys and LeAnn Rimes among others, which should be reason enough to celebrate him as a Nashville institution. To top it off, he did it all while practicing law and running the publishing company that gave Wilders career an early boost. Tonight Tyler puts his own heartfelt compositions and well-enunciated baritone in the spotlight, at the cozy West Side restaurant and venue operated by his talented progeny, William and Elise.
