Man, what a cool tune, with an immediately recognizable intro riff. I hear that in the UK, it's sometimes referred to as "The Rocker's Anthem". I always liked playing it, although, being a drummer, I wasn't playing that intro. But it does have a good drum lead-in for the guitar break.

I first heard it in the version by The Guess Who. Of course, the original by Johnny Kidd and the Pirates is really great, and I see by some investigation on YouTube that it's been covered a lot more than I had realized. There's a very good performance of it by The Shindogs, with James Burton playing a great variation on the original signature riff.

Just heard the Johnny Kidd version on Wednesday on KDHX. What a great radio station! Community supported...no commercials...they play whatever the DJs choose, no computers or programmers...and they play Webb!
