What was meant to be an outside show turned into an indoor show when the rains came down. At pretty much the last minute, Webb and the Beatnecks had to set up inside the Farmers Market building on the stage where Diamond Rio had already set up their equipment. Therefore, a small stage was made even smaller for our guys. This setup placed Mr. Jimmy Lester right out front....maybe where he has always desired to be. Not only did he do some fantastic drumming from front stage left, but he also did the mic check for Webb and George. It was fun to see him match Webb's vocal range.
Webb, Bob, Jimmy and George really put on a great show. The sound man had them dialed in. The sound was WAY better during Webb's set than the first part of Diamond Rio's. We left after a few of their songs.
George's harmony vocals rang out in the speakers....sounded fantastic complimenting Webb's lead vocals. Bob was on fire, as usual. Jimmy is a percussion and timing master. These guys never cease to amaze and entertain.
