	Subject: Buddy Holly Time again for my trip to the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa for the Winter Dance Party formerly known as the Buddy Holly Tribute. The Surf is where he did his last performance.. great place, good music, fun people. Long Drive! Surfballroom.com 'nita Ps got my cassette of Doo Dad all ready to go, too.

	Had a great time. The hi-lite for me was Albert Lee. I had seen him when he was with the Everlys but not with his own band. Terry Sylvester of the Hollies performed. Most excellent. The Nelson twins did a tribute to their dad..complete with photos of Ozzie and Harriet and Ricky at home. The songs they sang were all Ricky's hits.. A must see if you get the chance. Back to work tomorrow... yuck.

	I had the pleasure of meeting Albert recently at a guitar clinic here in Manchester UK. Lovely bloke and you can tell he's had a great career not just by being a brilliant musician, but by being a nice guy
