I hope everyone who wants to come to the show this year has their tickets. Webb asked me to post about the events this year.
We have the venue set up with a row or two in front of the stage for kids then the remainder of the place is set up with tables and chairs. The owners of the Warehouse are serving a full menu of food items including chicken, burgers, spaghetti, sandwiches and more. It is a full bar so there will be several choices of beer and the full range of usual alcohol requests. Everyone who bought tickets from me will get at 6PM so we can get our food eating out of the way prior to the show. Those who get there early (6PM) will get a door prize ticket. We have many door prizes including items donated by the band. Jimmy Lester has donated a Bass Drum head they used for years with the big WW in the middle and Lester on Top. Webb has donated a gig bag he used in the early days. Tom and Bob are also donating an item. Several others of us folks are also donating items. We will give all the items away prior to the music starting. We will be selling raffle tickets to win the Flying Vee guitar which will be awarded prior to the encore. There will be 50/50 drawing tickets for sale also. SWAG will be on sale from the moment it arrives on site, including from what I read, a really cool Webb Fest shirt and new posters. There will also be a limited quantity of Webb Fest VI DVDs for sale while they last. We will mix and mingle and eat till about 7PM and then put on a video, either the Saucer's Reign or Scattergun. Then the general public will get in and the show will start promptly at 8PM. Webb and the Beatnecks will be playing two sets of music again this year and in that double set somewhere will be the Album Doo Dad from beginning to end. That means that next year the DVD will have a live Doo Dad album on it. I expect the place to be packed. I still have a few tickets left in case someone wants to procrastinate. Hey everybody, safe travels to and from the fest. Have a GREAT time. I can't make it this year as we're opening O'neill's The Hairy Ape this weekend.

However, in honor of Webb Fest Seven, I'll carry a WW guitar pick in my pocket on Sat. night's performance. So I'll be there in spirit. Rock on!

Not only will I be there, I'll be bringing a small assortment of Texas brews for your pleasure for our aftershow gathering. There is that area above the lobby, I'm sorry we couldn't
have a room like last year, that was kinda special. And if LQ frowns on our "party", I'm sure we can move it to my room. Hope (here comes the thing I can never say correctly) y'all will/can pop in after the show, everyone's invited. Don't be shy about bringing something to share if you'd like.

I'm dying here....can't believe I'm missing this special night!! It all sounds fantastic, so someone please get up early on Sunday and post a review! :)

I'm not doing so well myself. I'm missing out on Webb Fest to sit in class for about 9 hours. I'm sacrificing a chance to witness a live performance of the entire Doo Dad album for an endless lecture on ethics. I guess it's the right thing to do, though. Ha!
