Somehow, I can't see Webb and company rolling to a gig in a Transit...

You're right about that, whodom. A lot of bands now use the Transit and other "modern" modes of transportation but the image is all wrong for Webb and the guys.
On the other hand, you wouldn't see them in a NEW Econoline, either! I suspect that the old ones will be with us for a long, long time.

Interesting article! Of course we all hail the virtues of the full-grown Econoline, but better fuel economy, etc., may win the day eventually, even in Webb's World.

There might be a better world somewhere but, I was advised against the Sprinter when it came out (Mercedes parts Ka-ching!). Maybe it's all headed in a positive direction. Then there's the question of how much these puppies are gonna cost. We got around 420,000 miles out of our previous Econoline. Still hoping to get be welcomed into the nice warm room occupied by the fortunate few, skip the Silver Eagle stage and move right onto a chartered JET! WW

Jets are cool, but if you really want to travel by air in style, nothing can beat a nice blimp with a big WW logo on the side.

As bad as I would like to see the guys in a Gulfstream V, somehow, I think a West Wind (WW) would be the preferred jet.
