Subject: Atlanta on Sat. night!!!!
It's a long awaited return of Webb Wilder to the Atlanta area. Tucker to be specific - Shorty's Pizza. A 9pm start - no opening act. 2 sets of Webb Wilder and the Beatnecks!!!! Great pizza and a wide variety of libations too.

The venue is on Lawrenceville Highway, due east of Decatur. Just 3 miles outside I-285. Easy to find. Parking there and next door as well. Can I get an amen?

I hope to be there too. I'm trying to drag my son and a bunch of his guitar-picking buds from the Atlanta Institute of Music over to show 'em how it's done!

Well, we made it to Tucker to see Webb & crew. It was a tiny venue, but pizza was awesome (I had the "Johnny Winter"). Webb & crew were great as usual.

I brought my 19-year-old son, who's a guitar student at the nearby Atlanta Institute of Music along with two of his friends (another guitarist and a drummer). I think they really enjoyed it. My son and the other guitarist were definitely studying Bob's technique, and he was smokin' as usual. They left at the break to- believe it or not- go study for finals. Later, Jimmy made a remark during the intro to a song about "the young people having left"- I cracked up.

Great show- thanks for putting it on!

Saturday night at Shorty's was a fine concert. Herewith, the setlist: Set 1: Big Time, Ruff Ryder, Human Cannonball, Lookin' For A Fool, Pretty Little Lights Of Town, Lonely For A Reason, Still Waters Run Deep OR Still Water Runs Deep (depends on who you listened to during the song), Poolside, She Won't Come Around, Devil's Right Hand, Who Will The Next Fool Be, Juju Man, Hittin' Where It Hurts, The Rest Will Take Care Of Itself, Flat Out Get It.Set Two: No Great Shakes, King Of The Hill, Lonely Blue Boy, Pretty Is As Pretty Does, Worried Life Blues, Wild Honey, One Taste Of The Bait, New Landlord, Every Day I Kick Myself, I Gotta Move, Too Much To Dream Last Night, Lost In The Shuffle and Tough It Out. No encore. Baby Please Don't Go WAS on the setlist but sadly did not get played. Seems like when I show up at a gig, Baby Please Don't Go doesn't get played but when I can't get there, it's the finale or the encore. Oh well, better luck next time...all told, though, a fine show by all, expeshullee that Bob Williams ! How was the show the following night at the Ritz-Carlton plantation ?? Wanted to go but had to work next day early. Thanks again, Webb, Tom, Jimmy and Bob !

So sorry about "Baby, Please." Whatever we don't play is inevitably someone's favorite song! We DO however play it a lot. Sorry it was not one of those nights. Who knew? if it's any consolation, I blew out one of my own songs to play a request (you shoulda spoken earlier!) for some whoa-mern who wanted to hear "Landlord." the Ritz thing was evermore luxurious but, a bit less of a "Webb-head" crowd. What a place though! The weather was beautiful and the facility is uber nice. BreaKFAST AIN'T CHEAP THOUGH! hONESTLY, REALLY APPRECIATE YOU MAKIN' THE DRIVE AND COMIN' TO sHORTY'S! ww
