Subject: Set at the D'Addario NAMM Party
Great set at the D'Addario Party on July 20. Tight, rockin', fun -- just the way it should be. And the perfect volume for the room. I'm always impressed when a band of vets proves to the young guns' that it's not all about volume. I've been playing for 46 years -- back to the Bogen PA days. Wish we had a band so tight in Pittsburgh.

Well, thanks so much for all the kind words. You know there's loud and then there's TOO loud. We're never too DELICATE with our volume onstage so, part of the credit goes to the soundman for realizing it is after all, sound REINFORCEMENT. Don't make something louder that's already loud, etc. It was fun. Glad you dug it. WW

Well, Webbster, I play in a "church" band where the stage levels are so high, my 600 watt bass amp has a hard time keeping up. The guitarists say they can't get their sound unless they crank it. I tell 'em that when I started playing in 1965, the entire band's wattage was less than 300. But you know how that goes ... Just ordered your latest CD. Best of luck.
