Subject: Well at least we have Webb
Since the good old Chicago Bears couldn't beat the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, at least some of us can look forward to see Webb this coming Saturday at Fitzgeralds. Except for Mike, who does hail from north of the border in Packer country....

Tough break for the Bears, Bruno, but at least this way they'll have a couple more weeks in which to hibernate. By which I mean, relax on a nice warm beach somewhere with beautiful women all around.

well I was referring to Jerry Jones and the Cowboys making lots of money - since they hosted the big game... but we could call Mr. Jones and see if he will kick in on the Goober DH bar tab.

Heh heh heh...at least the DH doesn't sell you a ticket for a zillion dollars and then throw you out because they screwed up on installing the temporary seats!

And as crappy a situation as that was ... the NFL which took the blame since they were pushing for the all time attendance record ... actually told those people they could have TRIPLE their money back!!! Obviously WAY too much money made at the super bowl. I would have said - you wanna give me how much??? I'll take it in cash and point me to the nearest Big Screen TV so I can watch it with all my extra spending money.... what a mess.

I know this sort of thing is likely to happen when you're pushing to cram every possible fan into a new facility, but the NFL has not handled it well. The folks I saw in an interview said they paid $3300 each for their tickets! To scalpers, obviously. The NFL does next to nothing to discourage scalping. Then you add in airline tickets, hotel rooms at Super Bowl rates and the disappointment of getting thrown out, and it makes an offer of 3x the face value of the tickets seem pretty puny.
Lawyers are standing by...

I'm not too happy with Jerry Jones, either. By building that pleasure palace for the Cowpokes he has made every other owner in the league jealous. Now Stan Kronke will probably want a palatial new stadium here in St. Louis, and it ain't gonna happen.
Back to Los Angeles for the Rams?? Boooooooo...

Well spoken Tommy -- If Jerry would let someone else run the team and sit back and be an owner ... I would be a happier fan. A stadium is always good when new .. but why build a Taj Mahal?

Oh and the Rams will never get to LA - before the Jaguars do ...that's who I'm seeing as headed out there.

I have talked to Mr. Tom Comet about those Jerry Jones basses. They're sort of improved Danelectros. Joey Spampinato (NRBQ etc) uses one now.
