Subject: Muzikfest
Hello!- I've not made an entry to the Webb board, but I visit pretty often-
I was lucky enough to attend the Muzikfest in Bethlehem to see Webb and the boys' set with my wife and 1 year old girl. As expected it was a great show. I did not get a set list, but it was a lot of the new, and a couple of the older songs thrown in.
They opened with "Big Time" as they have several times in the recent past that we've seen them.
From what I saw, the song that got to the crowd the most was "Loud Music". Lots of standing and cheering and hootin' and hollerin' after that one. And 'Mississippi Honky Tonkin' was a goodn' too.
I wish Tom's bass was a little louder in the mix because he was putting a hurtin on those strings. I couldn't hear him all that much, and it looked like he was having a ball. And Bob just plays beautifully. I always liked watching Tony Bowles play next to Webb, but Bob's style is awesome. He's got a PRS that sounds as good as it looks. And you can't leave Jimmy out. Such a great drummer.

So Webb, Jimmy, Tom and Bob, thanks very much for a good show. Was anyone else on here at the festival?

Would've loved to have traveled to PA and NY for the shows over the past couple weeks... wasn't in the cards tho. Sounds like the PA gig was an excellent one though.

Hey, Kyle! Great seein' you and your family! Thanks so much for reporting from "the front!" Seems like the regular posters (God Bless 'em!) don't include anybody from the Northeast lately. Anthony? I thought we did some good shows over the last two weeks way up yonder and was hoping someone would agree! Seriously, the folks who came were all great but, until now none of them has showed up here on the board. We went way up yonder and BACK two weeks in a row!?!?!? Norwich, NY, Oswego, NY, Asheville, North Carolina (how's that for travellin'?), Wellsville, NY, Bethlemem, PA and Piermont, NY. Yep. God bless the Beatnecks: The Pony Express of Rock and Roll. Gonna lick my woulnds an' git ready fer Chicago and Rockford, IL. Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but, to rock and FRY! WW
