Subject: OT: OMG! it's raining!
first real rain in two weeks, look at the pretty light streaks, and we've had a whole week under 3 digits! It WAS so hot (how hot was it?) that I actually cooked lunch in my car while I was at work! If the temps had stayed in the 100's, I was going to cook biscuits in the car and make a killing during lunch hour!

I believe it! I saw a report where somebody cooked a roast in their car while they were at work. What was your heat index? 115???

Not so lucky here. No rain in at least 2 weeks, and way hot and way dry. So hot we can hear cows exploding on the horizon.

what a great expression - 'cows exploding on the horizon'

Webb - surely there is a song in there somewhere? Or even a case for WW Private Eye?

Webb Private Eye investigating exploding cows on the horizon... now there's a B-movie classic.

If a cow explodes on the horizon, and there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Why do I get the feeling this thread is venturing off in unintended directions??

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Oh, I think it's funny - just another case of thread-jacking this place is good for. :-)
