Subject: Couple of geetar questions
I noticed Webb has several signatures on his Tele and was curious who all signed it. Also, Bob was playin' some killer slide on a red and white guitar friday nite and was wondering what it was. Kinda looked somewhat like a Framus but couldn't tell fer sure. Can be seen on the Tuscarawas show pics. Anybody know??? Is Webb's Flying V vintage or a reissue? Either way it was smokin' Friday nite. Thanks for indulging my curiosity.

Hey T60! Thanks for the kind words and for coming out and seeing the show! The guitar I used for slide is an ITALIA SPORTSTER. I have a two or three of these beasts and keep them all in different tunings. They are supposed to be similar to an old Supro I guess but they are unique in their own right as well. You can read about them here. Enjoy! BW

Hey, Gary. Nice meeting you. Thanks for comin' early and stayin' late! The V is a Custom shop Historic series 1958 reissue not to be confused with the KORINA one. It's mahogany. Much less expensive but, a really good guitar. Interestingly enough, there's a picture in the room on the other side of the one we played in at Canal House of Michael Burkes playing one just like it. I don't know how many they made but, I really wanted one with the string through body. Couldn't and can't afford the Korina one so when they offered this I jumped on it. I'll bet you could still special order one but, I'm not sure they run them on any kind of regular basis. They also made some with split headstocks but, that seems like a bad idea for holdin; in tune to me. Some were faded cherry like mine and others were natural (brown). Thanks and keep rockin'! WW

Thanks for the link, Hunter. I searched thru about 20 pages of posts but didn't see anything. Webb, I would love to have a V but my playing ability right now would just make it a waste of a great guitar! Bob, I really liked your slide playing and have been experimenting myself with it but haven't quite got the right hand damping down yet. Right now my slide playin' sounds like a sack of cats goin' thru a hay baler. Not good!!
Thanks guys for the cool info.

Has anyone heard of a Memphis guitar? Mitchell was given one with a peavy amp. I've never heard of this guitar. Just wondering.

It's an inexpensive guitar. There are factories in Korea, China, etc. that make a variety of guitars for different people and put their different names on them. It may be a pretty good beginner guitar. There are a lot of Memphis guitars around, probably some others that have a different name that are the exact same thing. Rock on! WW
