Subject: AWESOME nite in Tusky
OK, This might be old hat to some of you, but last nite I had the pleasure of seeing Webb and the guys live for the first time ever. Did I like it??? I still got a grin on my face ya couldn't get off with a jackhammer!!!! Everyone I talked too was blown away by this show. Probably the most entertaining show I have ever seen. It was a pleasure meeting Webb, Tom, Tater and Sweet Tater and am lookin' forward till next time. Now, hurry up and come back and I'll see if I can't get more people to show up. You wouldn't believe some of the excuses I heard today, for not coming.. Oh well, their loss. Hope ya'll had fun at the Link Wray Tribute in Cleveland tonite. If I coulda made it I would have but had the Mother's Day thing to do after work. By the way Webb, the new CD is awesome!!!! It's been in my player since I left the show and it's on it's 4th time thru. OK, enough yakkin'. Everyone have a great Mother's Day!!!

Dolly and I had a good time at the Canal House too. We met a lot of new and old fans in Tuscarawas, OH. The place was not sold out because the weather wasn't that good and thus, no motorcyclists in attendance. We ended up driving due to the eminent threat of rain. The boys played two ass-kickin' sets of electrifyin' music. I have the set lists and I'll post them as photos. I pick up the photos in about an hour so I'll post them before tonight.
One point of interest: Jimmy Lester wasn't amoungst the Beatnecks on Friday Night. He had a prior comittment and therefore a young and very talented Marshall Richardson filled in for him. Marshall did an excellent job on drums and blended in very well with the other guys.
Tom Comet dominated the sound on Friday. There was one certain note (I think Tom it was a "B") that when he played it, the entire bar vibrated with swampadelic resonations. One poor fellow had three discs in his back shattered and I lost a filling from the sustained vibrations. It was, however, worth every cent of the dental and chiropractic invoices we may receive in the next month or so. Once again, the band did an outstanding job on a couple of the tunes from the new CD, Honkey Tonkin' In Mississippi, Ju Ju Man and Don't Slander me really stood out. The entire second set was smokin'. We met Gary (Mr. T60Hack) and I do believe we have found another Biker who may be willing to ride 200-400 miles to see Webb and he claims he's coming to Webb Fest and maybe the Down Home. Hope to see you there!
