It would be fantastic to see Webb in Blighty. I've e-mailed Bob Harris at the Beeb to see if he will give the CD a plug but I had no response.
How can we help?

Well, we would love to come. Bob Harris might find some stuff more to his liking on the new album. In the past, it would seemed to me that his thing was more "singer-singwriter-y". than perhaps what he found my stuff to be There's the rockin' stuff but, some of that too, on "More Like Me." thanks! Hi Webb, We'd certainly love to have you here again. The Brittany shows were great esp on Tom's Birthday! FYI, Bob Harris now has 2 BBC shows. A country Show and a Rock Show (both 'Covering a lot of Ground') which has a very broad playlist. He has played you once before on his Friday Programme on 28/10/2005 He played 'Move It' He is the prime mover on national UK radio for anything like your kind of sound. No one else has any comparable degree of influence. He regularly reports from 'South by South West' so you might be able to hook up there? His Web site is worth a look and I sometimes see him at gigs. He is a genuine fan of quality music. I'm sure he would like to help but I guess he gets lots of requests. http://www.bobharris.org/pages/default.asp would be well worth a look.

I have no idea about what gigs pay etc, but Pete Feenstra is a UK promoter and has had some great US bands play: Omar & the Howlers, Dan Baird, Carvin Jones etc. Pete's a genuinely nice bloke, and has been on the scene for years. He might be able to figure out a way of stringing some dates together....

I've E-mailed Pete to ask if he can help. If there are any other UK Webb heads who would travel to see Webb, now would be a good time to shout up! These guys need to gauge the market. I first saw Webb on the Georgia Satellites tour and then in Birminhams Breedon Bar. Last Year we went to a couple of the Brittany Gigs. Webb is still the Daddy!

I'd certainly travel to a UK show, I'm based in Birmingham but would go to London, Manchester, Leeds etc.

If Bob Harris doesn't deliver have you thought about Jools Holland. His live (BBC) TV show features all kinds of stuff from artists big and small. Jools is ex-Squeeze so would clearly appreciate Webb's humour.
