 yardmaster Member Since: July 2007 I say son is that a chicken hawk I say son is that a chicken hawk | when I worked at a small...small ....town radio station years ago...they had to join and pay fees to ASCAP and BMI. Stations had to every so often do a survey and log all the music by artist and composers we played. The payment for them was used compiling all the surveys as to the amount of airplay recieved. I feel sure fees were based on market share of listeners. I don't know or have forgotten what our cost for those permits were. Hope that helps |
